Spencer</I></div> <div>      Ivan Spencer was born in the Allegheny foothills in northern Pennsylvania into a typical farming family of his day.  As a young man, his heart was touched by Jesus Christ and he sensed a strong call to preach the Gospel.  He attended Rochester Bible Training Center in Rochester, New York at the time under the direction of founder Elizabeth V. Baker.  It was there he was influenced by teachers such as Brother J. W. Follette, the founder's sister - Susan A. Duncan - herself a gifted Bible teacher.  It was there that Ivan received his Baptism in the Spirit.</div> <bR> <div>      After graduating he and his wife Minnie, began to pastor a small church near Binghamton, NY.  In 1924 the Lord gave him a vision for worldwide revival as he saw the burning letters 'REVIVAL' standing in front of him!  This vision remained with him for days.  It was at this time Elim Bible School was born.</div> <bR> <div>      Brother Spencer was known as a 'forward mover' throughout the 1930's and '40's and in the late forties and early fifties received many from the 'Latter Rain' visitation.  He would declare: "Follow the anointing!  The anointing will always fall on the message of the hour!"  </div> <bR> <div> <U>MESSAGES  AVAILABLE:</U></div> <bR> <div> 1.
